In high school, Rachel knew she wanted a career in Graphic Design. She also understood that a practical, hands-on education would give her an advantage in this highly competitive field. So, after graduation, she applied for a Tech Scholarship at one of Oklahoma's Technology Centers.


Rachel is continuing her education TUITION FREE.* She is receiving the practical training and academic foundation needed to prepare her for a career in Graphic Design, or to give her a head start on earning a college degree in that field.

*Many young adults are eligible to attend Oklahoma Technology Centers Tuition Free through CareerTech Scholarships. A CareerTech Scholarship will waive the tuition for eligible students. Students may still be responsible for other program-related costs such as books, fees, clothing or supplies. Eligibility and other specifics for CareerTech Scholarships may vary, so contact your local Technology Center for details.

Working three jobs, seven days a week took a toll on Brenda. She wanted a career that challenged her, fulfilled her innate desire for continual learning... and paid her what she was worth. After years of working harder, yet earning less, Brenda began preparing for a career at one of Oklahoma's Technology Centers.


Brenda manages major accounts in Oklahoma and Kansas for Compaq Computer Corporation. Because of the high-tech education she received at one of Oklahoma's Technology Centers, she doesn't just have a job...she has a career.


 



At 50, Don needed a new career. His existing job had simply become too physically demanding, and his prospects in that field werenÕt promising. Rather than a plan for retirement, Don took on an educational challenge and enrolled in one of Oklahoma's Technology Centers.


Don works as a computer repair technician for the Mid Continent Group. Thanks to one of Oklahoma's Technology Centers he enjoys his new career, interacts with people from different walks of life and earns a great salary.
